ACT XT/Performance Street Sprung Clutch Kit — K20 6-Speed (AR1-XTSS)

Built for the driver who's outgrown a stock clutch but still puts miles on the car. The Xtreme pressure plate delivers a 50 to 120 percent increase in clamp load over stock, using ACT's exclusive diaphragm design to increase holding force, reduce deflection, and extend clutch life. Every diaphragm goes through a four-stage heat-treating process, and precision cover stampings keep the assembly rigid and consistent.

The Performance Street disc is sprung and organic, with high copper content for better heat transfer and steel-backed lining for burst strength. Reduced marcel gives quicker shift action without sacrificing engagement quality. Expect smooth, positive engagement, quiet operation, and OE to mild gear rattle.

Rated to 340 lb-ft — 78 percent over stock capacity. Disc is 8.425", 24-spline on a 1-1/32" input shaft. Every assembly is 100 percent clamp-load tested and computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in for smooth high-RPM operation.

Pedal effort increases 50 to 80 percent over stock. That's by design — ACT builds clamp load in rather than chasing a light pedal at the expense of torque capacity and friction life.

Fitment: 02-06 Acura RSX Base and Type-S, 02-11 Honda Civic Si, 04-08 Acura TSX Base.

Flywheel required: non-Type-S RSX and 01-05 Civic Si must run an RSX Type-S flywheel or an ACT flywheel. Not included.

Break-in: 300-500 miles of mild stop-and-go driving before spirited use. Overheating an organic disc during break-in causes glazing and hot spots.
