ACT XT/Race Sprung 6-Pad Clutch Kit — K20 6-Speed (AR1-XTG6)
Built for cars that see track time or serious power. The Xtreme pressure plate delivers a 50 to 120 percent increase in clamp load over stock, using ACT's exclusive diaphragm design to increase holding force, reduce deflection, and extend clutch life. Every diaphragm goes through a four-stage heat-treating process, and precision cover stampings keep the assembly rigid and consistent.
The 6-pad race disc uses spring-center construction to damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT's spring retainers use wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings for spring support, reduced stress concentrations, and greater strength. Puck design absorbs heat better than a full-face disc, which is what keeps it alive during repeated hard launches or a long session.
Rated to 590 Nm (435 lb-ft). Every assembly is 100 percent clamp-load tested and computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in for smooth high-RPM operation. SFI certified.
Engagement is harsher than a street disc and shifts are faster — that's the trade. Pedal effort increases 50 to 80 percent over stock. This is a race-oriented setup that will feel abrupt in traffic.
Fitment: 02-06 Acura RSX Type-S, 06-11 Honda Civic Si.
Flywheel required: all non-Type-S models must run a factory RSX Type-S flywheel or a lightweight replacement. Not included.
Break-in: race discs need only a few hard slips to lap the friction surfaces before normal driving or racing.
