ACT XT/Race Sprung 6-Pad Clutch Kit with Monoloc — Subaru STI / Legacy GT (SB10-XTG6)

Built for high-horsepower street and race use on the EJ. The Xtreme pressure plate uses ACT's exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life, with every diaphragm going through a four-stage heat-treating process. Precision cover stampings give the assembly rigidity and consistency.

The 6-pad spring-centered race disc uses spring-center construction to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. ACT's spring retainers use wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings for spring support, reduced stress concentrations, and greater strength. Engagement is harsher than a full-face disc and shifting is faster — the 6-pad layout is specified for larger clutch sizes because it absorbs more heat.

Monoloc is the detail worth knowing about. It's a one-piece replacement for the standard two-piece wedge collar and wire ring used in pull-type clutches. The segmented retaining ring's spring tension is calculated and tested to load the bearing and pressure plate uniformly, which keeps alignment correct regardless of driver influence or how the car's been modified. Hardened chrome-moly construction.

Rated to 766 lb-ft — 115 percent over stock capacity. 9.4" ceramic disc, 24-spline on a 1.000" input shaft. Every assembly is computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in, versus roughly .50 for a stock production clutch.

Fitment: 04-21 Subaru WRX STI, 07-09 Legacy GT Spec B.

Expect moderate to heavy pedal effort with aggressive engagement, and OE to mild gear rattle. That's the trade for the holding capacity — it's a deliberate design choice, not a flaw.
