Brian Crower Stage 3 Camshafts — Nissan SR20DE/DET, 272/272 Race Spec (BC0206)

A longer duration profile built for added RPM. This is the race spec, and BC is direct about what that means: intended for a fully built engine, with rough idle quality.

BC camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to accuracy and tolerances within .02mm. Every profile is prototyped and dyno tested for proven horsepower results before going into production.

The grinding method matters. BC uses small diameter grinding wheels during finishing to generate a more aggressive ramp rate and faster cylinder fill. It takes longer to grind, but the inverted radius created on the opening side delivers more horsepower on rocker applications than conventional large-diameter wheels.

Specs: 272°/272° advertised duration, 224°/224° at .050", .494"/.494" valve lift (12.55mm) at 1.57:1 ratio.

Fitment: S13 non-VTC and S14/S15 VTC cylinder heads. Also fits the GTiR head. SR20DE and SR20DET.

Three requirements, not suggestions. The BC0200 spring and retainer kit is required — OEM springs will coil bind on this lift. Tuning and ECU modifications are needed to take advantage of the profile. And the engine should be built; this duration on a stock bottom end asks for RPM the factory rods weren't specified for.

Expect a rough idle. That's inherent to the duration, not a defect. If the car needs to behave in traffic, a shorter profile is the better choice.
