Competition Clutch Stage 2 Steelback Brass Plus Clutch Kit — K20 6-Speed (8037-2100)

This is the step up from an OE replacement, and the right call for a car making real power without going to a puck disc. The 2100 Series provides up to 80% increase in torque capacity, properly suited for aggressive street use and moderate track use — which in practice covers a built K20 or a mild turbo setup that's outgrown stock but still gets driven on the street.

The Brass Plus material with alloy backing, matched to a performance pressure plate, provides smooth engagement and extended life. That's the whole reason to pick this over a Stage 3 or 4: the sprung full-face disc still engages like a normal clutch. No chatter, no on-off pedal, no rattling at idle. You give up some ultimate capacity and gain a car you can actually sit in traffic with.

Kit includes performance pressure plate, high-torque sprung disc with anti-burst steel-backed facings, throwout bearing, pilot bearing/bushing where applicable, and alignment tool. Flywheel not included.

Fitment: 02-08 RSX Type-S and 06-11 Civic Si, 6-speed only.

Where it stops: roughly 300-400 whp depending on how you drive it. Past that you want a Stage 4 ceramic or a twin-disc, and you'll accept the drivability penalty that comes with either.

Break-in is not optional — Competition Clutch requires a 300-mile break-in and recommends 500. Skipping it glazes the facings and the kit isn't warrantable after that.
