DBA 5000 Series XS Drilled & Slotted 2-Piece Rotor — Nissan GT-R R35 Front, Black Hat (52320BLKXS)
A complete two-piece rotor assembly — XG150 high carbon iron ring bolted to an aerospace grade 6061-T6 aluminum Alumalite hat with National Aerospace Standards bolts and crimp nuts.
The two-piece design does three things at once. The aluminum hat cuts unsprung weight, which is the mass that matters most for suspension response. It lets the iron ring expand radially and uniformly under heat instead of fighting a rigid hub connection, which is what causes warping. And it reduces heat transfer from disc into the wheel bearing — on a car that generates the braking loads an R35 does, that's real bearing life.
Thermal Stability Profiling enhances the microstructure of the rotor material for greater thermal stability, so the rotor takes more heat and stays stable under heavy, frequent braking. Better pad and rotor life as a result.
Kangaroo Paw ventilation replaces conventional straight vanes with teardrop pillars for substantially more internal surface area and better cooling efficiency.
XS is the drilled and slotted design — uni-directional, with both cross-drilling and slots channeling gas, heat, and debris off the pad face for consistent bite.
Thermographic heat paint markings permanently change colour at set temperature thresholds, so you can read peak braking temps off the rotor edge and match pad compound to what the car is actually seeing.
Recommended for high performance street, track day, club racing, and rally.
Fitment: 2009-2011 Nissan GT-R R35, front. Not available for 2012+ front — those cars use XS replacement rings on the OEM hats instead.
Sold individually — order two for a pair. Uni-directional, so confirm left and right before installing.
When the ring wears out you replace just the ring and keep the hat. That's the long-term cost advantage of the 5000 Series.
