GSC Power-Division S2 Billet Camshafts — 4G63T Evo 4-8, 274/274 (7008S2)
Built for larger turbos, and the notable part is what they don't cost you. No low-end power is lost versus stock cams when paired with a larger turbo — you gain across the range, with more in the upper RPM.
Designed for a 4,000-9,000 rpm range on a 2.0L, or 3,000-8,000 on a 2.2L stroker. Sized as a 400-700 whp camshaft.
GSC's 7000 Series billet camshafts are 100% in-house cut and ground on the newest, most precise CNC machines available — the only readily available and affordable billet camshafts for the sport compact market. The lobe profiles are the same spec GSC is known for worldwide.
The dark nitride coating aids wear and fatigue resistance, lubricity, and corrosion resistance. Made 100% in the USA.
Specs: 274°/274° duration. Billet construction. Sold as a pair, intake and exhaust.
Fitment: 1996-2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV through VIII. 4G63T.
Springs: GSC recommends their upgraded beehive valve spring kit. These can run on the stock spring at factory boost and the stock rev limit, but the moment you raise either, the springs need to come with them.
Idle is rougher than stock — that's inherent to the duration. Can run on the factory ECU with custom flashing.
One install detail: if you're using aftermarket cam gears — AEM especially — check bolt length. Some gears are too thick for the OEM bolt on billet cams, and a 40mm underhead bolt may be required.
