Honeywell MIP Series 4 Bar MAP Sensor — 60 PSI Absolute (MIPAN2XX060PAAAX)
A media-isolated absolute pressure sensor and one of the better 4 bar MAP options for a high-boost engine. Absolute rather than gauge is what makes it a MAP sensor — it reads a full bar of vacuum through to roughly 45 psi of positive pressure on the same scale, so idle and wide-open throttle both land inside the range.
0.5 to 4.5V ratiometric output on a 5V supply, which is the standard analog range every major standalone expects. Wire it to a 5V reference, ground, and an analog input, then calibrate as a linear 4 bar sensor.
Media isolation is the practical advantage over a cheap MAP sensor. Piezoresistive silicon sensing behind a stainless barrier, designed for a wide range of media including aggressive fluids — so it survives fuel, oil, brake fluid, and coolant contact as well as boost. ASIC signal conditioning with 100 V/m radiated immunity, which matters in an engine bay full of ignition noise where a cheap sensor's readings wander with RPM.
Specs: 0 to 60 psi absolute (0-4 bar), Metri-Pack 150 connector, 7/16-20 UNF 45° flare female Schrader port (SAE J512). Supply 4.75 to 5.25V.
Sizing: 4 bar covers up to about 45 psi of boost. Past that you want a 5 bar or higher — running a MAP sensor into its ceiling means the ECU stops seeing boost increases and the tune goes flat exactly when it matters.
