Manley Pro Series Turbo Tuff I-Beam Connecting Rods — Honda K20 5.472" (14404-4)
Forged from 4340 aircraft-quality vacuum degassed material — the vacuum degassing is what removes gas porosity from the forging, and it's the reason these hold together where lesser 4340 doesn't. The Turbo Tuff design balances weight against the rugged strength a boosted K-series needs at the rod journal.
Every rod is shot peened after machining, which puts the surface in compression and stops fatigue cracks from starting, then 100% individually magnafluxed. Bushed for a full-floating piston pin.
Rated to roughly 800 hp with the ARP 2000 hardware. If the build is going past that, the same rod is available with ARP 625+ chromoly fasteners (14404R6-4), which takes it to about 1,000.
Specs: 5.472" center-to-center, 2.008" big end bore, .780" big end width, .866" (22mm) pin diameter, .8671" pin bore. Approximately 550-560 grams. 3/8" ARP 2000 cap screws with 12-point heads, 200,000 psi tensile strength.
Fitment: 02-06 Acura RSX Type-S, 03-05 Civic Si, 06-11 Civic Si — K20A2, K20Z.
Note the weight — these are heavier than a lightweight rod by design. That mass is what carries the load on a high-boost build, and it's the right trade when the engine is making power rather than chasing revs.
Set of 4 rods with ARP 2000 bolts.
