Manley H-Beam Connecting Rods — Honda K20A2/K20Z 5.472" (14014-4)
Forged 4340 H-beam rods built to the same exacting standards Manley developed and had approved by their original equipment customers. Heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and 100% individually magnafluxed — every rod in the set gets inspected, not a sample.
The finishing is where these separate from cheap H-beams. Final hone size, thread detail, bend and twist are all tightly controlled, with perfectly round big and small ends. Sets are weight matched to ±1.5 grams, which matters on a K-series that lives at high RPM.
Cap fasteners are 3/8" ARP 2000 with 220,000 psi tensile strength and 12-point heads.
Rated 600+ flywheel horsepower in a four-cylinder application, so these cover most built K-series builds without stepping into a Pro Series rod.
Specs: 5.472" center-to-center, 2.008" big end bore, .780" big end width, .866" (22mm) pin diameter, .8671" pin bore. Approximately 509-525 grams each. Floating wrist pin, cap screw retention. Not clearanced for stroker cranks.
Fitment: 02-06 Acura RSX Base and Type-S, Honda Civic Si — K20A, K20A2, K20Z1, K20Z3.
Assembly spec: 60 ft-lbs with 30wt oil, or measure bolt stretch at .0058"-.0062". Use the stretch method if you have the gauge — it's the accurate way to load an ARP fastener.
