Manley Platinum Series Forged Piston Set — Toyota 2JZ-GTE 86.5mm, 9.0:1 Dish (609005C-6)

A +0.5mm dished set at 9.0:1, built for a 2JZ running serious boost. The -10cc dish keeps compression low enough to hold timing where you want it under high cylinder pressure, which is what a big single turbo and E85 demand.

Forged from 2618 for peak temperature and fatigue resistance. Contour forgings balance strength against weight with no grain-interrupting internal milling, and offset wrist pin design keeps start-ups quiet. Anti-friction skirt coating comes standard. Pressure balance groove included, and the crown accommodates +1mm valve sizes.

The finishing is where Manley earns it. A proprietary multi-step top ring groove machining process controls groove size, geometry, flatness, and finish, and all final turning happens in one fixturing — complete squareness of rings to the cylinder wall. Federal Form-Scan gauging validates skirt indexing to pinhole and skirt-to-skirt polarity.

Specs: 86.5mm bore (+0.5mm over), 1.338" compression height, -10cc dish, 353 grams. Sized for 86mm stroke with a 142mm rod. 22mm chrome moly wrist pin, .150" wall. Replacement ring set is 46866-6.

Set your clearance to spec — .0035" measured 1.100" from the bottom of the oil ring groove.
