Manley H-Tuff Series Connecting Rods — Subaru EJ 5.137" (15024-4)

The H-Tuff design incorporates a wider beam and increased cross-sectional thickness in critical areas — a heavier rod built specifically for high-boost applications, delivering a stronger part with greater safety margin than a standard H-beam.

Forged from 4340 to the same exacting standards Manley developed and had approved by their original equipment customers. Heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and 100% magnafluxed. Sets are weight matched to ±1.5 grams, big and small ends are perfectly round, and bend and twist are tightly controlled.

Rated to 750 hp at the flywheel. That's the headroom to run a larger turbo, more boost, and more RPM without the rod being the part you worry about. Bushed small end for a full-floating wrist pin.

Specs: 5.137" center-to-center, 2.165" big end bore, .840" big end width, .9055" (23mm) pin diameter. Approximately 575 grams. 3/8" ARP 2000 cap screws standard.

Fitment: 02-14 Subaru WRX, 04-21 STI, 04-13 Forester XT, 05-09 Legacy GT and Outback XT — EJ205, EJ255, EJ257.

Going further: the H-Tuff Plus version substitutes ARP Custom Age 625+ fasteners for builds pushing past this rating. On an EJ the rod bolt is usually what gives up first at the extremes.

Note the added weight. The heavier beam is the point — that mass is carrying cylinder pressure, not costing you response in any way you'll feel on a boosted engine.
