Manley H-Beam Connecting Rods — Subaru EJ 5.137" (14024-4)

Forged from 4340 to the same exacting standards Manley developed and had approved by their original equipment customers. Fully machined, heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and 100% individually magnafluxed — every rod gets inspected, not a sample from the batch.

The finishing is what separates a Manley H-beam from a cheap one. Big and small end bores are final honed to ±.0002", bend and twist are held to a minimum, and sets are weight matched to ±1.5 grams. Bushed small end for a full-floating wrist pin.

Rated to 600 hp with the right supporting hardware. That covers most built EJ setups — a stock-block replacement on a boosted street car, or the foundation of a proper build. If you're planning past that, the H-Plus version with ARP Custom Age 625+ fasteners is the step up.

Specs: 5.137" center-to-center, 2.164" big end bore, .840" big end width, .905" (23mm) pin diameter, .9063" pin bore. 535 grams. 3/8" ARP 2000 cap screws.

Worth noting on a rebuild: a stretched rod is the usual failure on a boosted EJ that's been turned up on pump gas. If you're in the block anyway, these are the part that keeps you from doing it twice.
