Manley Pro Series Turbo Tuff I-Beam Connecting Rods — Subaru EJ 5.137" (14416-4)

Forged from aircraft-quality 4340 vacuum degassed material and fully machined in Manley's Lakewood, NJ factory. Vacuum degassing removes gas porosity from the forging, and on a rod that's going to see extreme cylinder pressure that's the difference between a part that lasts and one that finds a flaw.

The Turbo Tuff design is built for the stress and abuse of high-horsepower, high-boost applications, plus sustained race use where the engine lives in the upper RPM range. Every rod is shot peened after machining and individually magnafluxed. Bores are round and without taper, and bend and twist are tightly controlled.

Rated to 1000+ hp and still 100% streetable. This is the top of Manley's EJ rod line — the part for a big single, high boost on ethanol, or an engine that spends its life at wide-open throttle.

Specs: 5.137" center-to-center, floating pin, forged 4340. 3/8" ARP 2000 cap screws with 12-point heads, 200,000 psi tensile strength.

Fitment: 02-14 Subaru WRX, 04-21 STI — EJ20, EJ25.

Bolt upgrade worth considering. At the top of that power range the rod bolt is usually the limiting fastener, not the beam. If you're building to the ceiling rather than under it, spec the ARP 625+ hardware.
