Haltech calls this a Vehicle Control Unit rather than an ECU, and it earns the name — it's an engine management system, a power distribution module, a wideband controller, a data logger, and Wi-Fi comms in one box, all programmed from a single piece of software.

The PDM half is what makes it different from an S3. Four 25A continuous push-pull outputs, PWM capable, drive your injector and coil power, thermofan, fuel pump, or transbrake directly — no relay panel, no fuse block, no separate PDM to wire and mount. Add six 8A half-bridge outputs on top for throttle bodies and smaller loads. On a purpose-built race car that eliminates an entire wiring subsystem and the failure points that come with it.

Engine side matches the S3: eight injector drivers, eight ignition outputs, up to eight cylinders or four rotors, dual knock channels, two DBW channels, four VVT channels, dual CAN, onboard wideband. Wi-Fi means you can log and tune without dragging a laptop cable through the window.

This is the top of the Nexus line and the right call for a dedicated race car — drag, circuit, or anything where you're building the harness from scratch and want the power distribution designed in rather than bolted on.
