Torque Solution Short Shifter & Bushings Combo — Subaru STI 6-Speed (TS-SS-001C)

A direct replacement for the long-throw factory shifter, sold with the bushings that make it work properly. Stainless steel construction, TIG welded in a precision jig.

The bushings are the reason this combo exists rather than the shifter alone. A short shifter reduces throw, but the factory rubber bushings let the whole assembly move under load, so the shorter throw still feels vague. Torque Solution's Shock Factor bushings remove that slop, and the two together give you the crisp, mechanical gate feel people are actually after when they buy a short shifter.

Direct bolt-in — no drilling, no cutting, and it works with the factory shift knob.

Worth knowing before you install: getting the pin lined back up with the shift cable is the fiddly part of the job, and that's a Subaru design issue rather than anything to do with the part. Budget an extra half hour if it's your first time in there.
